"Believe in me, as I believe in you."

Familiar lyrics if you love the Smashing Pumpkins like I do.  Their Melon Collie and the Infinite Sadness album is just one of the greatest of all time, I think.  Be sure to watch the music video at the end, it's one of my favourite songs.

I thought the lyrics made for a good title because I feel more competent (for now) as a medical student.  I've been following half the patients on the team so far, and doing better than I thought I'd be.  I'm really enjoying working with my team, everyone is hard-working but easy-going, and everyone has a great sense of humor.  My only issue is that I'm sort of overly-humble, maybe to the point of low-confidence, to where I kind of just accept positive feedback in a quiet, courteous manner rather than embrace it.  I'll be building up my confidence and believing in myself more in time.

I feel like there's so much to know though, it's amazing how people on my team come to answers in the face of complicated problems just like that.  It's amazing working with people who just know what to do all the time.  It's also great that they support us students and tell us they appreciate all our hard work.

I love making a difference in the lives of our patients and it's rewarding that I'm actually helping my team out in a noticeable way.

Here's some Smashing Pumpkins for you all:
