I pronounced a patient dead since I began intern year in July. It was a really sad experience for the family and for me. I managed to share a few words with close family members as a sort of eulogy in the room. It's something I'm just now able to talk about because it's so emotionally disturbing and saddening, especially as someone who was just a medical student a few months ago.
I'm thankful for every second of my health and for every moment I get to spend with my wife and dogs and friends. I really don't enjoy the ICU, while a lot of my friends do. I'm not really sure why they're so into it. Time for a nap
