Medical school is a marathon and sort of a first-world survival challenge, but there are books that I highly recommend med students have during the basic sciences since they make life easier and can help with courses you feel lost in. Sorry if I don't get the title 100% correct, but it'll show up with the right books in a Google/Amazon search.
Anatomy: Rohen's photographic atlas of the human body and the Netter's anatomy flash cards (check one of my older posts for more on this)
Immunology: Geha & Rosen's book
First Aid: your must have since it covers everything and you should start keeping up with it the moment you start med school. Know it and digest it!
Renal Pathophysiology by Dennke and Denker; just because the kidneys are super complex
Goljan's Rapid Review Pathology (super great but I always found myself short on time.) Highly recommended.
I just really used those to be honest, and I never really opened Robbins. (Bad! Bad med student!). But look into Robbins for sure!
If you have any questions on textbooks or anything else, just let me know! Good luck!
