Be important

Med school is hard at times because students often get ignored on the service. Sometimes they even don't get listened to.  And when they try to get involved they can get shut down and made to feel dumb.   So my recommendation is to spend med school being involved and growing a thick skin.  Jump in on rounds, make recommendations, ask questions about patient management.  Present your plan with confidence.  No medical errors occur just from presentations.   Refine your clinical reasoning and contribute to your team.   It'll be important for residency.
