The cool night ground

My day started at 400am, I stepped out of my car at 930pm from my drive home.

The weather had cooled and I found comfort in the darkness of my surroundings and the front lights of my home.

I just wanted to lay down on the cool earth and clear my mind, but I likely would've fallen asleep outside.

I feel like a lot of people find cold, dreary weather to be something that makes them unhappy, but for me it calms all the surroundings and feels like the world is more at peace.

There's something I like about the way cold grass feels, and cool, dense air swirling its way into your lungs, and sparingly, the way chilled air of colder days makes you wake up from your chest tightening.

I live for the cold, I guess. There's something beautiful in it, the way it changes your surroundings visibly and affects you on almost a spiritual level.
