Leaving my lab will be something interesting. I'll definitely miss the tech who taught me so much and always had an answer to my questions, he's a real genius. It's awesome seeing people who are so interested in teaching and have infinite patience, hah.
My PI has been really cool too, she's been supportive and has seen potential in me to give me complicated projects and designated me as the individual to do some important things in the lab.
I've worked in labs for about 4 years now, and leaving the laboratory culture is doing to be weird and different. I'm happy to be entering the medical field though, and doing something a lot more people-centric and just being surrounded by a ton of people.
I was going to add that if any of you guys have questions about medical school application (probably a lot of you have just taken the MCAT and are applying this year), do let me know. I applied to 11 schools and got into 10 of them, but decided to go to school here in Texas since it's a lot warmer and closer to people I care about. I think I'm going to venture off for residency and come back, but who knows, Houston and Dallas have amazing clinical opportunities. Anyway, seeya guys.
